“The Kiplinger value rankings are just one of a host of rankings where TU competes on a global level. Times Higher Education ranks TU 19th in the world for universities under 5,000 students. CEO World Magazine ranked TU’s Petroleum Engineering Program number one in the world. Our cyber security programs are among the Top 3 in the nation. The Wall Street Journal ranked TU in the top 16th percentile for all universities. Forbes magazine ranked us 19th for international students. US News and World Report has us as a Top 50 Private University and number 87 overall in the nation – making us the highest ranked University in Oklahoma, Kansas and Arkansas. And we are Top 100 Green University. Insight into Diversity named us a Higher Education Excellence in Diversity award winner this year.
And there is more to come. Our new Strategic Plan focuses strongly on providing more scholarships, internships, career development, leadership programs, international experiences and experiential learning out in the community. We have started new programs like the discounted summer school Initiative starting this summer to help students graduate in 4 years. We added staff to the Center for Academic Support Services. We streamlined the process for learning and testing accommodations. We believe these new efforts will further improve our rankings.
I am proud of where we are and excited about where we are headed.”
