August 9
10:50 p.m.
While on routine patrol University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers attempted to initiate a pedestrian check on an individual observed riding a bicycle out of the University Square West Apartments. The individual appeared very nervous and refused to communicate with officers. Upon exiting campus property the individual got off of the bicycle, dropped it onto the street, and proceeded to jump a nearby neighborhood fence. Officers took possession of the bicycle and placed it into impound until an owner can be identified.
August 10
2:40 p.m.
University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to investigate possible marijuana smell coming from a room in Fisher West Suites. Officers searched the room and found a small amount of contraband. Officers questioned the student who knew about the contraband but denied ownership. The contraband was impounded in the property locker for destruction.
August 11
10:50 a.m.
University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to investigate an ill person in Norman Village Apartments. Upon arrival Officers found a contractor for the University of Tulsa who felt ill and became unresponsive while working on an apartment in Norman Village. Campus Security and emergency medical services responded. The individual was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
August 12
3:10 p.m.
University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were given a smart phone by the Physical Plant. The phone was recovered from an elevator shaft at Hardesty Hall. The phone’s owner, a TU affiliate, picked up the phone from the security office.
12:35 p.m.
University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers took a report of a student being stalked by another student. The suspect has since graduated and moved off campus. The student does not want to make a report with TPD at this time.
August 15
11:30 a.m.
University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were notified of some individuals riding bicycles through the Donald W. Reynolds parking lot, weaving in and out of parking stalls. Officers were able to make contact with the individuals whom were juveniles. The juveniles confessed to taking property.
August 17
7:30 p.m.
University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to Fisher South for the welfare check of a student. A parent had called and asked officers to check on the student. Officers met with a housing staff member and then met with the student. It was determined that the student was doing well and in good spirits. The parent was contacted and informed of the student’s condition.
August 19
1:20 a.m.
University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to the Donald W. Reynolds Center for an injured individual. The individual and their spouse requested that Emergency Medical Service Authorities not be called and refused medical treatment. The individual stated they would receive treatment at their residence. The individual was escorted to their vehicle and left without further issue.
April 20
12:20 a.m.
University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to Hardesty Hall for a report of underage drinking. Upon arrival officers met with the reporting party who stated that there had been a party that had disbursed prior to our arrival. One suspect stayed behind who demanded to prove their innocence.
August 22
12:50 a.m.
University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were dispatched to investigate a noise complaint at the Norman Village pool area. Upon arrival Officers heard loud music. Officers spoke with a group of students in the pool and explained to them that the pool was closed. Officers also noticed alcohol in the pool area and explained to the students that alcohol was not allowed in the pool area. Only two non-TU students were old enough to drink alcoholic beverages. Officers could not observe whether or not the underage students were drinking. The students were escorted out of the pool area.
August 23
6:10 p.m.
While on routine patrol University of Tulsa Campus Security Officers were stopped by a student concerned about an individual who did not appear to be a TU affiliate. Officers made contact with the individual and confirmed that they were a non TU affiliate. Officers contacted the Communication Center to check for previous contacts and warrants. The individual had been trespassed previously and was placed under arrest for trespassing. The Tulsa Police Department (TPD) was contacted and cited the individual and released them with a promise to appear in court.
