Housing Applications 2025-2026

Housing applications for the next school year are fast approaching.

Selection for student housing begins on Jan. 17. The first step is to complete the Housing and Dining Agreement which is open from Jan. 17 – Feb. 17. After this date, housing will be selected on a first come, first served basis. Completing the Housing and Dining Agreement is necessary to complete to retain your current assignment or receive a selection time to choose the best housing.

The second step is to match with roommates. If students want to retain or select a multiple-bedroom apartment or a double residence hall room, they must match with a roommate prior to the assignment being confirmed. Students should match with a roommate before Feb. 17 if they want to retain your assignment. If a student wants to select a new assignment, they should select a roommate before the selection time.

Step three is choosing a housing path. Choice A is to retain your current assignment lasting from Jan. 17 – Feb. 17. Eligibility requirements include that university suites cannot be retained, as it is reserved exclusively for second-year students. La Fortune House is also not able to be retained because it is reserved exclusively for first-year students. Honors College Housing (Hardesty) has the requirement that honors designation is required, with an office assigned based on preference on roommate match. General roommate requirements include matching with a roommate to be able to retain your multiple-bedroom apartment or residence hall double room. As mentioned before the roommate matching process begins in the portal on Jan. 17. To retain your apartment, you will need to select a summer storage option as well.

Choice B is selecting a new apartment unit which goes from March 3 to March 4. Students will receive their selection time on Feb. 24 after completion of the Housing and Dining agreement. It is important to note in this instance that summer apartment storage is not available for people switching apartments, however, summer living is still an option. TU recommends exploring storage services like U-box or Pods for convenience. Furthermore, students with summer apartment living will move to their new apartment during scheduled dates in June.

Option C is the university suite selection for current freshmen which runs from March 6 – March 7. For current first year students, they may select a space in university suites, located in the US West apartment blocks, if space permits. The selection time will be received on Feb. 24.

Option D is general housing selection in residence halls and apartments running from March 25 – March 31. This is open to all students to select from the remaining options with selection times randomly assigned by class status, in the order of graduate, senior, junior, sophomore and freshman. This selection time will be received on Feb. 24.
Option E is Greek Housing Selection for Sorority Houses and Sigma Nu residents. To be able to secure this space, you will need to complete your Housing and Dining agreements by Feb. 17. For more details about room assignments, reach out to the house leadership who will be happy to assist.

One of the options is summer apartment living, which means students will stay in their apartment through the summer term. Another option is summer apartment storage, however only retaining apartment residents and their roommates qualify for this because they will live there in the next school year. The last option is summer school residence halls, with Fisher Suites offering single rooms for summer school students.
