Guide to mobile ordering

Skip the queues in ACAC with the Mobile Order app.

Meal swipes are everywhere but what are their purpose and what do they mean? Meal swipes get you a considerable amount more food than dining dollars. Meal trades feel like pretend money, whereas with dining dollars you can visibly see your money going down and no one enjoys that. The 2024-2025 rates stand currently as listed.

Tier 2 is most common for lowerclassmen, especially freshmen, and those living in dorms. Tier 2 includes 12 meal swipes and the option of $500, $750 or $900 dining dollars. Tier 3 allows an all access pass and dining dollars with the option again of $500, $750 or $900. For upperclassmen (this is third year and above) there are two options: 80 meals per semester with $300 dining dollars and 45 meals per semester with $650 dining dollars. Lastly for commuter students, dining dollars stand at $300. The following details where meal swipes and dining dollars can be spent.

Everyone knows waiting in ACAC queues takes a considerable portion of your day, especially between classes. ACAC queues can be easily avoided using the Mobile Order app. The app is compatible with dining dollars and meal swipes, useful for those who have more dining dollars or vice versa. The app saves a lot of time and effort when trying to wait and then eat your food. Imagine walking into ACAC and you see twenty people in the queue of Einstein’s Bros. Bagel. You are thinking, should I eat lunch today? Should I miss my class and cook in my dorm or apartment kitchen? Too many people skip meals and then feel nauseated in their classes. The mobile app can help you. Once you download the app, you have a list of options in ACAC that you can pre-order from. Food is usually ready by the time you get from your class to ACAC, depending on how busy it is and what you have ordered. For example once at Chick-fil-A, you need to confirm you received your order to prevent others from taking it. The food options currently listed on the app are Sol Cantina, Einstein’s Bros. Bagel, Chick-fil-A, Gus T’s Italian Kitchen and Subway. From there you select your chosen restaurant and choose your food options. Once the food has been chosen, next is checking out and here is where you can either use your dining dollars or a meal trade. Usually most food options purchased with a meal trade have the option of a main meal, snack and a drink but it varies between restaurants. The Mobile Order app allows you to browse and order more specific items, for example halal prepared meals in Pat Case. Meal swipes work similarly in Pat Case dining center where you scan your ID at the door. However Pat Case is all you can eat, with hot food options changing daily, juices, coffees, desserts, cold food, salad and fruit options. Pat Case allows you to get as much food as you would like.
